Arbor Star of the Year - Bernice Fox

Bernice started with Arbor Terrace as a Resident Assistant in 2005, demonstrating a caring respectful manner with our assisted living residents.  Bernice was able to please even the sharpest diamonds!  In 2009 she moved into the Laundry Technician position when, in  response to an increasing number of complaints from  families, we centralized the laundry under one person’s direction.  Bernice stepped into the job and owned it!  She manages the laundry for all 60 of our residents, meeting families’ expectations and ours.  We NEVER receive a complaint about clothes not being laundered properly, on-time, etc.  Bernice is a wonderful example of a team player and a great role model for younger staff members.  She is always on time and at work when she is scheduled. She wears her uniform with pride and always has everything in place.   Bernice will be the first person to offer to help in other areas of our operations when needed.  She has filled in for receptionist duties, has helped in the kitchen with dishes, served residents and families at our special events, decorated for parties – whatever needs to be done – Bernice will step in!
